Newcastle look to have been dealt yet another transfer blow on Tuesday evening.
This time, the Magpies’ reported pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard appears to be over.
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Lingard’s proposed move to Newcastle is on the verge of collapse.
The reason for this is that Manchester United were asking for a sizable loan fee that Newcastle deemed unacceptable.
Elsewhere, Tottenham, West Ham and Everton have seen approaches rejected. But despite this, Ralf Rangnick is said to have given his blessing for Lingard to depart Manchester United.
